This website is the property of Playtype Aps, Vesterbrogade 80B, DK-1620 Copenhagen V. This policy concerns all data that is shared by you with us whether directly via playtype.com or via email or phone. The policy explains what happens to any personal data that you share with us.

1. Collected data

In operating our website we may collect and process the following data about you:

Personal data

Name, address, email address, billing address, delivery address. Information that you provide by filling in forms on our website, such as when you register to receive information through newsletter, contact us via email or fulfill an order in our shop.

Card information

If you make an online purchase, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors: Stripe and PayPal. We can confirm that these third parties are fully GDPR compliant.

Visitor behaviour

Details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblog statistics and other communication data are collected. Playtype utilise Google Analytics to collect information about visitor behaviour on this website. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. The analytical data does not personally identify you and is unable to specifically be linked to any personal information, for example name and address.

2. Use of data

The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide our services to you. In addition, we may use the information for the following purposes:

News

To provide you with information requested from us relating to our products or services, and to provide information on other products which we feel may be of interest to you, if you have consented to receive such information. You may unsubscribe from any emails at any time. Click “Unsubscribe” in one of the newsletters.

License

To meet our contractual commitments to you e.g. process your e-commerce order, we hold you in our secure licensee database. As a company registered in Denmark, we must, by law hold onto your purchasing details for five (5) years after purchase.

Customer Service

To notify you about any changes to our website, such as improvements or service/product changes, that may affect our service and/or our products. If you are an existing customer, we may contact you with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.

3. Data storage

Data that is provided to us is stored on our secure servers. Details relating to any transactions entered into via our site will be encrypted to ensure its safety.

For security of transactions, we use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts any personal information you enter into registration forms on the Application. The encryption process protects your information, by scrambling it before it is sent to us from your computer. We also make commercially reasonable effort to ensure the security of your personal information on our system. Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While Playtype ApS does strive to use commercially acceptable standards to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. All our payments are handled through Stripe and PayPal, and both are GDPR compliant.

5. Access to information

6. Right to be forgotten

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (1998) gives you the right to have all data deleted, and to opt-out to all marketing communication.

Tracking and Cookies

To stop us tracking your usage of this website, please block all cookies. All computers have the ability to decline cookies. This can be done by activating the setting on your browser which enables you to decline the cookies. Please note that should you choose to decline cookies, you may be unable to access particular areas of our website.

If you license our typeface products for usage on any mediums, and ask to be forgotten this may infringe your license agreement with Playtype Aps to utilise the fonts you have licensed in the past.
